Edlen Electrical is the exclusive provider of exhibitor and show management electrical and utility services for SCC. As the nation’s largest independent temporary utility contractor, Edlen services over 5,000 events annually in over 300 facilities across the country. Their experienced staff will work with you to create the ideal lighting and electrical conditions for your event.

An integral part of an event’s success depends upon the expertise and efficiency of the temporary utility contractor. Edlen stands alone as the nationally recognized leader uniquely qualified to meet and exceed your expectations.
Edlen is the exclusive provider of temporary and supplemental electricity throughout the Seattle Convention Center, powering everything from exhibitor booths to registration desks, show offices, and general session systems. They offer a mix of complimentary and discounted power—such as free outlets in meeting rooms and reduced rates for registration areas—while handling all order processing, installation, and billing through the SCC system. With on-site inventory of cords, plug strips, and lighting, Edlen ensures events are energized safely and efficiently.
Edlen also manages essential utility services like air, water, drains, and specialized gas hookups. Whether it’s for catering stations, product demonstrations, or equipment requiring water access, their team ensures compliant and efficient installations. Requests are coordinated through a streamlined ordering portal, with all services delivered to meet safety codes and facility standards. Their experience guarantees reliable utility support tailored to each event’s needs.
From booth power to complex installations, Edlen supports all exhibit infrastructure across the convention center. They collaborate with event managers and general service contractors to power display setups, coordinate utility layouts, and ensure compliance with safety and fire regulations. Whether you're showcasing heavy equipment or interactive tech, Edlen’s team ensures everything is properly powered and professionally installed. Their services make it easy for exhibitors to focus on presentation, not logistics.
While audiovisual services are managed by SCC’s AV partner, Edlen provides the critical electrical infrastructure to power lighting rigs and sound systems. From general session spotlights to dimmable LED packages and room-wide sound coverage, Edlen ensures consistent and balanced power delivery. They work hand-in-hand with AV teams to support the technical needs behind immersive lighting and sound experiences. With Edlen, every element shines—literally and reliably.
An exhibitor lay-in of power can be ordered through event management at a 20 percent discount off the advanced price. This package service must provide power to all exhibitors, and each 10’ space shall count as one booth. Event management is invoiced for this package, eliminating the need for individual exhibitor collection.
We offer all electrical services at your registration areas at 50 percent of the advanced outlet price. Up to two 20 amp, 120 volt outlets will be provided to the show manager or association for their own booth located on the tradeshow floor, at no charge. Two 20 amp, 120 volt wall outlets are complimentary per rented meeting room in the SCC. There may be additional charges if all equipment plugged exceeds the 2-20 amps per room. If additional outlets are required, client will be charged for overage.
Note: Meeting rooms, hallways, lobbies and exhibit halls used for tradeshow or registration do not qualify for the complimentary power service.
Unless otherwise noted above, all events will be charged for any power hookup within the facility, including power obtained from wall receptacles. The rates for electrical equipment and services are published on the standard order form, which can be obtained from either Edlen or SCC. Advanced pricing rates apply for all electrical orders received earlier than 21 days prior to contract start date. Orders received after that time will be charged at standard rates.
Upon request, Edlen will provide each client with an estimate of total power charges for the client’s operations within SCC. Actual invoices from Edlen will be based upon the actual installation, not the estimate. All pre- and post-show billing is run through the SCC accounting system per your licensing agreement.
Edlen maintains an on-site inventory of additional rental equipment available at standard rental rates for events that may require additional equipment, i.e. extension cords, plug strips, lights, etc.
Please include a line item in your budget for charges related to electrical power provided by Edlen. You may contact Edlen to discuss contract arrangements and payment terms for all electrical needs.
